To Receive Much, You Must Give Much

Children With Hair Loss was created as a resource for ALL CHILDREN who have medically-related hair loss. It is our mission to empower these children to become whole again by making hair replacement available to those who may be financially challenged and might otherwise not have a means of obtaining the hair they want and need.

Our goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of self-confidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self-esteem.

9 years ago, I made a promise to grow my hair out to donate. I have contemplated cutting it so many times & couldn’t build up the confidence to do it because of my traumatic 5th grade bob cut.  But, I have decided to cut & donate my hair to the nonprofit organization “Children With Hair Loss” for Thanksgiving to show how thankful & blessed I am. CWHL is the only organization that gives human hair replacements to children at no cost to help them through such a traumatic experience. I have finally found this perfect organization that would do the most good with my donation. This organization has made my heart so happy & full with love to continue to donate & give back to others. I hope someone else becomes inspired from this to hopefully donate their hair too one day.

To take this a step further, my LeaderShape vision was “All Hurt All Cured”. My overall vision entailed making healthcare free to all who are in need. Although my vision is very extreme & will take way more steps and time, this baby step has definitely made this vision a reality. Maybe I don’t have to actually make all medicine or healthcare free, but I could influence and volunteer myself as much as possible. Giving hair and having the CWHL also give the hair at no cost to someone in need, made this Thanksgiving unforgettable.

I hope some little girl enjoys my ginger locks as much as I did. Goodbye my 10 inches & hello short hair!
